Grade Inflation by High Schools Gives False Sense of Confidence

According to the company that produces the ACT exam, grade point averages for students taking the test have increased in each of the last 5 years up to a 3.22 from a 3.16 in 1997. During that time, the average
ACT score has remained 21. ACT officials say the results suggest grade inflation by high schools. Source: Time Magazine
